I am a computational journalist at The Marshall Project, a
non-profit newsroom. I work with data & use collaborative design to report on the criminal justice system and to
build products in collaboration with people most affected by the systems that we cover.
I also teach data, design
and community engagement in the journalism + design department at The New
School in New York City, and I work as Project & Product Designer with Journalism
+ Design Lab.
I am currently completing a bootcamp with Caltech about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, two
techniques that I have been applying in my journalism. To read more about this work, check out this article from
